With TV ads that started running yesterday, Apple has made it known that the much anticipated iPhone will be available for purchase on June 29th.

LG’s VX8700 for Verizon Wireless is a CDMA clamshell device that is styled after LG’s popular Shine slider handset sold elsewhere in the world. Looking like a stainless steel clad VX8600, Michelle found the new VX8700 to be just as capable and fun to use in this review.

Video tour of the HTC Touch’s New Finger Interface

Yesterday HTC announced its would-be Apple iPhone killer, the HTC Touch. The Touch makes use of HTC’s new TouchFLO display and UI extensions to add an amazing set of finger based controls to WM6, while leaving support for the stylus. We have video demos of the Touch in action from the launch event.

ITC Imposes Ban on Importation of New 3G Mobile Phones in US

Today the US International Trade Commission issued a ban on a number of Qualcomm chipsets that power many 3G handsets used by Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T. The ban also prohibits bringing new phones into the country that contain the chipsets.
